Gravier

Though both had already started writing individually, Joel Dobbins and brother Sam Dobbins joined forces at 16 and 14 respectively under the working band name Bwuders. Sam Dobbins stumbled upon the word Gravier in a French dictionary. The brothers likened the word's meaning, as they interpreted it, to their own grit and determination for writing and recording music for themselves, and so the name stuck. Thomas Paul Whalan also joined the band shortly after for live jam sessions, but never got the chance to take part in the Gravier home recording sessions, though made some truly amazing recordings of his own. The hours of music the brothers composed remained unintentionally shelved for 10 years before they finally published it on April Fools day in 2019.

Joel Dobbins went on to establish his own solo career, starting with his debut Forever Girl EP in 2019 and then regularly releasing albums ever since.
