Back Story:

"I don't remember what I was reading over a decade ago but I remember needing to look up the word "renegade" in the dictionary and I loved the sound of the word and it's meaning and the fact that it wasn't an overly saturated word. The original guitars were kept in this release but I added vocals and an outro to the song at the end. This song is typical of the album concept of utilising a mix of old and new recordings together - about half the instruments were recently recorded and others were from the original demo recording I dug up from an old Cubase project from Windows XP days."

Lyrics:

Renegade, no
Renegade, no
Don't renegade, please stay stay so
Renegade, no
Renegade, don't go

Don't become a renegade
She's not here as your sport
Would you live for the greater good
And shed of yourself the renegade

Don't crack under pressure
People won't respect your world
Eventually, this comes out in time
I wanna step in I just want you to know

Renegade, no
Renegade, no
Don't renegade, please stay stay so
Renegade, no
Renegade, don't go

I've known you most of my life
But now I can't help feeling sad
The sound of April brewing in the wind
The scent of terrible change

Don't become a renegade
She's not here as your sport
Would you live for the greater good
And shed of yourself the renegade

Renegade, no
Renegade, no
Please renegade please stay stay so
Renegade, no
Renegade, no
Don't go, renegade, no please don't go

Oh, renegade
No, renegade
Come on, renegade
It's been so many years
And still, you're the same
You can turn things around
You can do this
We believe in you
As we always have
Just give it a try
You can be anything
It's never too late
You've got so much potential
Life's too short
