Forever Girl Joel Dobbins Forever Girl
Back Story:
"Intrigued by Robin Gibb's "Juliet", I immediately starting writing the lyrics to this song. This was not long after after watching the Back To The Future trilogy, hence the "DeLorean" reference. The self questioning philosophical lyrics were inspired by the main characters in "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead", which I studied in Senior High School. This song was my first attempt actually to experiment with delayed concurrent harmonies, and for each part there were two vocals recorded, one for the left and one for the right channel."
- Joel Dobbins
Lyrics:
Stuck in the world, this kind of age
Not even Shakespeare ever forgave
The mystery that surrounds each player of the game
Should I, or did he write an Act 3
Tell me who is my Juliet meant to be
Before the final curtain call
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Comedy relief, the court jester
Will they just allow my to life fester
Where's a DeLorean when you need one
How am I supposed to recognise
She might as well be wearing a disguise
If love takes time how will I know at first glance
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
Forever girl (Forever girl)
