Down, Down, Down Joel Dobbins Forever Girl
Back Story:
"This is a song about all the fake friends that were in your life at some point before they had revealed their true colours to you and one way or another had to get them out of your life. This is the subtle type with whom you might only realise after a while and in hindsight that indeed leave some cryptic signs and clues of their true intentions but somehow you missed them or assumed the better of them and you wished you'd have somehow realised sooner before some of the damage was done. A good example of a sign was noticing they weren't really getting along well with many or really any of your other friends in a big way. You always made excuses for them and assumed it was a personality conflict."
- Joel Dobbins
Lyrics:
Down, down, down
You're insulting my name
Down, down, down
Why must we play this game
Down, down, down
Every comment you make
Down, down, down
This was your biggest mistake
If you abuse this friendship
So you can look good
I have little respect for you
If you criticize us all
I have little time for you
By playing a kid's game
Down, down, down
I go down, down, down
Down, down, down
You're insulting my name
Down, down, down
Why must we play this game
Down, down, down
Every comment you make
Down, down, down
This was your biggest mistake
If you abuse this friendship
So you can look good
I have little respect for you
If you criticize us all
I have little time for you
By playing a kid's game
Down, down, down
I go down, down, down
If you abuse this friendship
So you can look good
I have little respect for you
If you criticize us all
Down, down, down
I go down, down, down
